Connecticut officials ask for public input on plan for hiking, biking trail along Merritt Parkway

Connecticut transportation officials are asking the public to comment on a proposed hiking and biking trail along the Merritt Parkway. Groton won’t allow trail to pass through its reservoir system

The Bluff Point to Preston trail will not include passage through the Groton reservoir system. Based on information from the director of Groton Utilities, which manages the reservoir, and an independent insurance consultant, the City Council decided not to respond to a request from the Bluff Point to Preston Trail Committee. CT DEP, Friends of Keney Park Celebrate $96,000 in Grant Money for Trail Restoration
